AMD's Ryzen 5 5600 and 7 5700G APUs

AMD's Ryzen 5000G APUs, which include the Ryzen 5 5600G and Ryzen 7 5700G, are officially launched. Both APUs offer exceptional performance for their respective costs. Both the 5600G and the 5700G utilize the Vega graphics engine in conjunction with AMD's Zen 3 architecture. AMD essentially switched out the CPU in the Ryzen 4000 for the Cezanne in the Zen 3 to increase processing performance.

To keep up with demand and monitor supplies during a peak period for silicon, the company made these CPUs available to system builders for use in desktop PCs for a limited time. They will be widely sold by August.

You can choose between the Ryzen 5 5600GE, Ryzen 3 5300GE, Ryzen 5 5600G, Ryzen 3 5300G, or the Ryzen 7 5700G to get the full complement of AMD's 5000G series APUs. However, custom PC builders may only purchase the Ryzen 7 5700 G and Ryzen 5 5600G separately; the rest are reserved for pre-built hardware. If you're interested in purchasing an AMD Ryzen 5700G or 5600G, you've come to the right place. Here, we'll go over all the information you need to know, including the specifications of these APUs, as well as why you should get them and where you can get them.

APUs like the Ryzen 5 5600G has 12 threads and 6 cores, making them competitive. There are two clock speeds available on the AMD APU (Accelerated Processing Unit): a boost of 4.4 GHz and a base of 3.9 GHz. The CPU also includes an L2 cache of 3 MB and an L3 cache of 16 MB. It will have Vega 7 GPU processors running at 1900 MHz and a thermal design power of 65W.

However, when pitted against the Core i7-11700, the Ryzen 7 5700G proves to be a formidable adversary, with 60% faster content creation, 60% faster computation, 28% more productivity, and 2.45 times faster graphics performance. AMD has also demonstrated the superior graphics performance of its updated GPU Vega cores, which are 2.45 times quicker than the Xe graphics found in the Intel Lake rocket desktop CPUs. We recommend pairing the APU with a dedicated GPU for even greater performance, especially in gaming.
